Description

The National Energy Leadership Corps (NELC) mobilizes a cadre of trained energy student leaders to provide free home energy assessments facilitating the education of homeowners about energy loss and energy retrofits of homes. The NELC service learning program trains, provides technical and software support, and manages NECA Student Chapter members to offer the following community services:

  • Provide customized energy profiles of homes and enable individual citizens to make wise investments of time and resources to improve energy efficiency.
  • Increase energy efficiency of existing U.S. homes and help save approximately 30 Million BTUs of energy per home per year.
The NELC will also spur energy job creation through the coalition of NECA contractors and other industry partners responding to increased demand for energy efficient products and services.
