Sustainability Coalition
Mission Statement
The purpose of this organization shall be:
- To foster relationships among all sustainability focused clubs, students, faculty, staff, and community members to share resources and ideas.
- To introduce members to various issues of sustainability
- To provide information for members interested in pursuing careers in sustainability
- To provide public education on current sustainability issues
- To promote outreach to improve environmental stewardship
Environmental organizations at Penn State have created a coalition to:
1) Establish a communication network to coordinate programming and inform members of events at the University Park Campus.
2) Collaborate on organization events and projects identified by the members. We can help support existing programming efforts and/or sponsor new Coalition events and use our resources more efficiently.
3) Use interdiscipliary expertise to help support the existing efforts to "green" the Penn State campus and/or curriculum.
Current Coalition Activities
A Coalition listserve has been created for listing campus and local speakers,
forums, films, and events of interest to Coalition members. To add yourself
to the listserve, simply send a blank email to:
